The fastest way to stop a check is by using Personal Online banking or the Valley mobile banking app. For Personal Online Banking you will find the "Stop Payment" feature in Additional Services, or if you prefer the mobile app it'll be under the "More" tab. Then all you have to do is enter the Check Number, Amount, Checking Account Paid From, and the Payee Name, and hit submit.
You can also request a stop payment on a check written from your checkbook by calling our Customer Care Team at 1-800-522-4100 and selecting option 2, or by visiting any of our branches.
