WAYNE, N.J. - Wednesday, February 12, 2014 - Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), announced today the promotion of Nestor J. Roldan to Vice President – Long Island District Sales Manager.

Mr. Roldan joined Valley in 2004 and brings 15 years of banking experience to his position. Prior to his promotion, he served as the Branch Sales Manager of the Shrewsbury branch located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As a District Sales Manager, Mr. Roldan will work extensively to strengthen the Bank’s ties with businesses throughout Long Island. His team will focus on developing and expanding financial relationships by offering an extensive line of convenient products with exceptional, personalized service.

Mr. Roldan received a Bachelor’s Degree from Seton Hall University and a Master’s Degree from Monmouth University. He serves on the Board of the Red Bank Regional Source Foundation; a non-profit New Jersey School-Based Youth Services Program that provides recreational opportunities, academic support and individual and group counseling services to students enrolled at Red Bank Regional High School.
