The impact of Hurricane Sandy has affected many of us. We hope you and your families are safe and the recovery process is as quick as possible. As a result of the effects of the storm, we want you to know that we are working hard to get our branches up and running as fast as possible. Like many of you, there are some without power and have suffered damages. We understand that the impact and devastation of the storm may have prevented you from making a timely payment of your Valley National Bank consumer loan resulting in a late fee or a deposit causing an overdraft fee. Consequently, we will automatically refund the following fees.

Consumer Loan Late Fee Relief:

Valley National Bank consumer loans (Mortgage, Home Equity, Auto, Personal, Life, Credit Card, or other consumer loan or line of credit) late fees that may have been assessed against any such loan or line of credit from Saturday, October 27th through Sunday, November 4th will automatically be rebated. To qualify for this rebate, the subject late payment must have been received no later than close of business Monday, November 5th. Customers benefitting from this waiver of assessed late fee will receive a letter confirming the fee has been waived. Customers who believe they have a special situation beyond the blanket of relief described above are invited to discuss their circumstance with their local branch representative or call our 24/7 Customer Service Center at 800-522-4100.

Overdraft Fee Relief:

Any fees for overdrafts that occurred Monday, October 29th through Thursday, November 1st, will automatically be rebated.

ATM Fee Relief:

If your local Valley ATM does not have power and you need to use a non-Valley ATM, please call our 24/7 Customer Service Center at 800-522-4100, visit a local branch office or email customerservice@valleynationalbank.com to request a rebate.
